The cooperative was founded in 1976 in San Mauro Cilento. Its 408 members cultivate 2500 hectares of land in the Cilento National Park, Vallo di Diano and Alburni.
The cooperative occupies a leading position in Italy in the protection of biodiversity, organic certification and protected designation of origin (PDO Cilento). In fact, it was the first in Campania to obtain organic and PDO certifications for olive oil and has actively collaborated to obtain the PDO of the Fico Bianco del Cilento, for the Slow Food “Salella Ammaccata” olive.
In addition, the Cooperative organized in 2015 the first course of Regenerative Agriculture, inviting Jairo Restrepo Rivera, and becoming the first pole of experimentation and development of this type of agriculture in the area. Currently, it develops upcycling projects of olive crushing waste, producing high quality compost and compost worms.
